Description
U.S. R. & C. Leonard 1811 Full-Stock Flintlock Musket.Unserialized, approximately .72 caliber, 45-inch barrel with bayonet lug and fixed front sight. US / CT proof to top of barrel. Lock marked: CANTON / 1811 and (eagle) / US / R. & C. LEONARD. Smooth walnut full-stock. G.W. THOMPSON stamped opposite lock. Three barrel bands and two sling swivels. Metal ramrod, triggerguard and buttplate.
Condition: Good. Finish primarily a bright grey patina with noticeable areas of handling wear, age and pitting. Scattered scuffs, dings and bruising present to wood. Action good. Moderately pitted bore. From the Collection of Dr. Phillip R. Rutherford
