Description
Wells Fargo & CO. Marked Colt Double Barrel Percussion Shotgun.Serial no. 12449 [barrels and receiver], 10-gauge, 19-inch damascus barrels with fixed front bead sight. Barrel rib marked: COLT PT F A MFG. CO. HARTFORD CT. U.S.A. Checkered walnut pistolgrip stock and splinter fore-end. Dual triggers. COLT PT. F.A. MFG. CO. to each side of receiver. Triggerguard stamped: W.F. & CO. EXP. / 584. Grooved hard rubber buttplate.
Condition: Very good. Finish primarily a dark grey patina with scattered signs of handling wear, age and patches of pitting. Dins and scuffs present to wood. Noticeable nick to base of grip and some loss to tip of fore-end. Actions good. Lightly pitted bores. Nelson A. Faerber Collection.
