Description
A Nice Georgia Militia Reproduction Oval Belt Plate and Pigskin Leather Belt.86.48 mm x 47.07 mm, rolled brass face with lead backing, brass tongue and brass arrowhead prongs. The reverse is hand-die stamped P.C. HALL / "GLORY" / I.J.G. / BATT. / WAGNER. The face shows a stippled border between the outer raised edge and an inner border line surrounding the pillars and arches state seal with CONSTITUTION on the large arch overhead and lacks the ribbons with mottos wrapped around the pillars, but shows the soldier on guard and landscape. The buckle is mounted to a brown pig-skin belt.
Condition: Nice uniform patina, trivial wear, about excellent; leather belt supple and in very good condition.
