Anderson Lamb North Carolina Half-Stock Percussion Rifle.

Unserialized, .36 caliber, 39-inch octagonal barrel with fixed front and rear sights. Blued finish. Top of barrel marked: A. LAMB JAMESTOWN N.C. Smooth hardwood straight half-stock with brass fore-end cap, triggerguard and buttplate. Wooden ramrod. Anderson Lamb (1815-1891) is one of the better known Jamestown School gunsmiths in Guilford County, NC. He built rifles beginning in the mid-19th century. Early examples are marked "A. LAMB" (typically in the 1850s).

Condition: Very good. Finish primarily a dark grey patina with signs of handling wear, age and patches of pitting. Scattered dings and scuffs present to wood. Action functions. Lightly pitted bore.
