Description
Engraved Oversized Percussion Blunderbuss.Unserialized, 2 1/2-inch bore diameter, 18-inch barrel with flared muzzle. Smooth hardwood stock with two engraved brass barrel bands. Unmarked lock. Elaborately scroll and floral engraved brass triggerguard and large grip cap. Serpents also engraved to grip cap. Brass belt hook to left side of stock. Brass tipped metal ramrod. 27-inches in overall length. Weight: 5-pounds, 8-ounces.
Condition: Very good. Finish primarily a brownish grey patina with areas of handling wear, age and surface rust. Action functions. Moderately pitted bore.
