Description
Pair of Brass Flintlock Boxlock Pistols.Unserialized, .46 caliber, 2 1/2-inch brass octagonal barrels. All brass construction apart from the hammer, triggerguards and grips. Both pistols adorned with a sunburst decorative motif on both sides of the boxlock. Pistols fitted with swollen curved wooden grips. Both fitted with safety mechanisms to the upper tang area which slide into the flintlock hammer to avoid accidental firing. Overall lengths are 6 1/2-inches.
Condition: Very good to fine, showing a nice brown-yellow mellow patina to the brass. Grips with handling wear, fine marks present. Some stress marks/cracks present but stable. Safety latches functioning but extremely tight. Actions good, bore dark.
