Description
Continental Iron Mounted Wooden Stone Bow.Hardwood stock, 38 1/2-inches in overall length. Steel bow, flat bow irons and iron trigger. Crude iron mounts overall. In working condition, no cords. With contemporary tan wooden rack. Note: "Stone Bow" definition, according to A Glossary of the Construction, Decoration and Use of Arms and Armor by George Cameron Stone, was the name applied to both long and crossbows used for shooting stones, pellets or balls [page 584].
Condition: Good. Showing noticeable areas of age and handling wear. Mars and bruising to wood. Minor stress marks to areas near screws.
