Description

Lovely Gentleman's Sword Cane with Horse Motif.

Overall length is 35-inches with a 19 7/8-inch two-stage blade with double fullers on each side. Blade appears similar to that of lovely American and English swords. Engraved gilt plated collar measuring 1/2-inches, also with a push release button. A great bone/horn L shape handle depicting a horse hoof with silver inlaid foliage, miniscule Mother of Pearls / abalone inserts and a vacant silver shield escutcheon. Wooden shaft, ferrule tip missing. Cane weighs approximately 9 ounces.

Condition: Fine as presented. Light wear overall; blade is quite nice with moderate wear. Some tarnish and patina present overall. Wooden shaft with wear concentrating on the bottom half, with numerous nicks and bruises. Appears that a metal horseshoe was present at some point.
