James Buchanan: Bronze Indian Peace Medal. 76 mm. The obverse features a bust of President Buchanan facing to the viewer's right with the caption "JAMES BUCHANAN, PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES. 1857". Dies by S. Ellis and J. Willson. Reverse features a farmer, standing, facing an Indian, flag behind, with the caption "LABOR VIRTUE HONOR" in three links above. Sharp relief, beautiful mahogany patina, and in nearly uncirculated condition with just a bit of rubbing on some high points. Very minor rim abrasions noted for accuracy, but detract minimally.
