Description
Theodore Roosevelt: Linking TR with Lincoln in the Campaign of 1904. This lot has two 7/8" celluloid buttons issued in 1904 when Roosevelt was running for president. They consist of a multicolored jugate of Lincoln and Roosevelt issued to commemorative the 50th anniversary of the founding of the Republican Party. The other is a sepia, real photo button with jugate portraits of Roosevelt and Fairbanks, as well as "The Old Boys" Fremont and Lincoln who ran in 1856, 1860 and 1864. Condition is excellent on both examples. They retain their original Whitehead & Hoag and Baltimore Badge back papers.Auction Info
