Description

Benjamin Franklin: Staffordshire Pitcher. This 10" Staffordshire pitcher has identical transfer designs on either side showing the young "Franklin" flying his kite and discovering electricity. It dates circa 1840. There two sizable chips on the handle, around nine circular chips or firing defects on one side and around a dozen small chips on either side of the spout. It still displays very nicely from the one side and has no repairs, stains or restorations we can locate.
