Description
Samuel J. Tilden: Unusual Portrait Button. This 22 mm. or 7/8" campaign button from 1876 has an albumen portrait of "Tilden" under glass. There is a pin attachment on the back. The faceted frame has some verdigris and there is some waviness and irregularities in the glass dome cover. It's nice overall and certainly out of the ordinary. Tilden is tough.Auction Info
