Description
Zachary Taylor: Desirable Brass Shell Locket. This is DeWitt ZT-1848-19. It is a gilt brass shell locket 27 mm. in diameter. It is missing the loop, as do most, but grades Extremely Fine. It retains a good deal of the original gilding, primarily around the perimeter of the inserts. Lockets of this type were only produced in 1844 and 1848.Auction Info
