Painting of Thai Village Life by Sombut, Benefiting Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center. The painting chronicles life along a river in Thailand with huts, boats, villagers, and dogs. It is signed and dated "1966" in the lower right corner. The framed oil on canvas painting measures 36-inches by 28-inches. The painting was purchased by President and Mrs. Johnson on their state visit to Thailand in 1966. This lot will be accompanied by a letter of authenticity signed by Lynda Johnson Robb.

A full 100% of the net proceeds will benefit the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center at the University of Texas at Austin, in honor of the 2012 Centennial of Lady Bird Johnson's birth.
