Description
Seymour & Blair: Awesome Jugate. This may be the best jugate for the 1868 Democratic candidates. Ferrotype portraits of "Seymour and Blair" are mounted within an 1 1/4" carved bone frame with roped border, pierced at the top with a blank reverse. The condition is unimprovable and pristine is the word that comes to mind. We believe this may have originated in the Joe Brown Collection, as it appeared in publications that featured highlights of his collection.Auction Info
