Description
George Washington: Rare Memorial Engraving. Washington is honored on this 16.5" x 11" engraving published in London by P. Roberts after the painting by Carolina artist William Birch. It is titled: "George Washington Late President of the United States of America. This plate is Humbly Dedicated to the Friends of the above Gentleman by their most Obedient and Humble Servt. P. Roberts." Although undated, it likely was issued in 1800. We believe it to be quite rare.Auction Info
