Octavo. 198 pages plus numerous engraved inserted plates, as follows: twenty-three ethnographic plates, six plates of mammals, five ornithological plates, twenty-one reptile plates, three fish engravings, and twenty-one botanical plates. Lacking map at rear, with only remnants present in the gutter. Chipping and sunning to spine cloth, with a vertical tear near the tail extending almost all the way across the spine. Moderate wear to cloth edges. Corners bumped. Spotting to text edges. Scattered foxing, including to some plates. Ownership inscription to front free endpaper. Good.
