Edition de Luxe, limited to 350 copies, of which this is numbered "0000" and signed by Hugh Thomson on the limitation page. Quarto. 195 pages. Twenty-five color tipped-in plates. With a lovely original drawing by Thomson on the verso of the front free endpaper and inscribed by Thomson: "To J. A. Milne / with / Hugh Thomson's / Kind regards / March 1912."

Publisher's full vellum with elaborate gilt decoration and titles. Additional ruling and decoration in purple on front. Ribbon closures. Top edge gilt with remaining edges untrimmed. Mildly rubbed and soiled. Boards a little bowed. Fore-edge of pastedowns raised and re-glued in order to replace ribbon closures. Toning to page edges. Housed in a custom pull-off box. A near fine copy. From the Estate of John McLaughlin.
