Still, a good set of this rare and unusual work.
Agrippa (1486?-1535) was an influential German philosopher and theologan. The original edition of this work was written in about 1510, but its publication was delayed until 1531-1533. It is a defense of magic and its use in bringing men closer to a knowledge of nature and of God. However, it was a controversial work, and led to charges of black magic and imprisonment by the Inquisition.
Thorndike V, 134-136. Caillet 95. Cornell 10.
