Description

One of Only Eighteen First State Copies

Charles Bukowski. At Terror Street and Agony Way. Los Angeles: Black Sparrow Press, 1968. First edition. The rare first state with the word "Street" mis-printed as "Sreet" on the front wrapper. Bukowski bibliographer Krumhansl states that only eighteen copies of the wrapper issue with this mistake were printed and that there were 747 copies of the corrected second state. Octavo. [2, blank], [vi], [90], 3, blank pages. Several pages with embossed letters or drawings by Bukowski, as issued. Spine a bit sunned, minor rubbing to lower extremities, else a fine copy of a Bukowski rarity. Krumhansl 27a.
