Alfred A. Knopf, 1939. First edition. Octavo. [viii], [1]-277, [1,
colophon], [2, blank] pages. Publisher's original orange cloth,
front board and spine stamped in blue. Original full-color dust
jacket. Jacket tattered with the front joint entirely torn, and the
front flap nearly completely torn, jacket tailcap and rear panel
chipped, jacket spine sunned, wear, chipping and additional tearing
to jacket, cloth spine sunned and somewhat worn and soiled,
previous owner's signature on front pastedown, endleaves toned and
offset, some toning to text. A fair copy of this important novel.
