[Civil War Newspaper] The Memphis Daily Appeal. Two pages, 19" x 23", May 24, 1864, Atlanta, Georgia, with Civil War content, including news from the Confederate States Congress and a list of casualties from the 7th Mississippi regiment. The paper is somewhat fragile with some separation at the folds. Good.More Information:
The Memphis Daily Appeal was one of the leading newspapers backing the Confederate cause during the Civil War. From June 1862 through April 1865, the presses and plates were moved five times to various southern cities, including Atlanta in 1864.
