One partially-printed page, 8.75" x 7.25", Boston, February 21, 1834, certifying payment of $5.00 for volumes two and three of Sparks' book. The twelve volume work, "Life and Writings of Washington," was American historian Jared Sparks' (1789-1866) most important work. He would later serve as president of Harvard from 1849 until 1853.
