Description
William Howard Taft Signed West Point Appointment. One page, 7.5" x 9.5" (sight), June 23, 1906. Partially printed document appointing "Fred Barnes Carrithers" to the rank of Cadet at the United States Military Academy. Taft signs as Secretary of War, serving under Theodore Roosevelt's administration from February 1, 1904 to June 30, 1908. Flattened folds and light soiling including a small discoloration in the top margin. Archivally framed with with a photograph of Taft and a plaque to an overall size of 23.75" x 23.75".Auction Info
