Sarah Winnemucca Photograph Signed "Sarah Winnemucca." A beautiful cabinet card measuring 4.25" x 6.5", Sarah is seen lounging on her side, dressed in traditional Paiute clothing and wearing a feathered headdress in this Bradley & Rulofson photograph. Sarah (circa 1844-1891), who was also known by her Paiute name Tocmetone, was the daughter of Chief Winnemucca and was a prominent nineteenth century Indian activist. She was also an author, becoming the first American Indian woman to publish in English.
