Description

Schilling Haenel Model 1883 Single Action Revolver. Serial no. 895 [barrel and frame], 10.55mm, 4 1/2-inch octagonal and round barrel with standard fixed sights. Blued finish. Left side of frame stamped: V.C.S.*C.G.H. / SUHL. Scattered German proofs. All screws numbered 95. Checkered walnut broomhandle style grips. Lanyard ring. This was once the standard German infantry revolver, used from the early 1880s until the adoption of the Luger pistol circa 1908.

Condition: Excellent. Retaining approximately 85-90% finish with scattered handling wear and fine patches of pitting. Some touch up to the blue. Grips showing light scuffs. Action crisp. Moderately pitted bore.
