Description

Civil War Ninth Massachusetts Infantry Bone Carved Ring. The 9th Mass. Inf. mustered into service in May 1861 and was heavily engaged throughout their term of service including Chancellorsville, Gettysburg, and the Wilderness, losing 209 men killed and mortally wounded. The ring is very nicely carved of bone with "Ms 9th Inf" on the face along with the diamond of the 3rd Army Corps, filled with black coloring. Perfect condition with nice light mellow patina.
