Colt Model 1851 Percussion Revolver Together with Associated Case and Powder Flask. Serial no. 146161, .36 caliber, 7 1/2-inch octagonal barrel with single-line New York address and aftermarket German silver blade type front sight. Blued finish. Case-hardened hammer, lever and frame. Brass large triggerguard and gripstrap assembly. Stamped: "7" on left side of front triggerguard bow. Varnished walnut grips. Contained in associated glass-topped walnut case together with unmarked brass plunger-type powder flask and lead ball supply.
Condition: Very good. Metal showing mottled grey patina with scattered traces of finish remaining in protected areas. Some vibrant case-hardening remaining on lever. Fine cylinder scene. Grips very good with older refinish. Tracking line on cylinder. Scratched on bottom of triggerguard. Action crisp. A fine example of a fourth model. Case very good. Flask very good.
