The Adventures of a Trapper and Covered Wagon Emigrant as Told in his Own Reminiscences and Diaries. Edited by Charles L. Camp. (San Francisco: California Historical Society, 1928). First edition. Signed and inscribed by the editor on the front pastedown endpaper, and with the recipient's bookplate. Octavo (10" x 6.5"). 247, [4, index] pages. Photographic frontispiece portrait of an elderly Clyman, illustrated with a portrait of Hannah Clyman, maps including one folding, and a facsimile page of Clyman's diary. Original blue cloth lettered in gilt. Bottom corner cut from Clyman's frontisportrait, away from the image, else an about fine copy.
