A group of Three Items, a Booklet, Typed Letter Signed, and Autograph Letter Signed, Relating to Texas Art History. A small grouping of three items, including the following:

[W.H. Huddle]. Dorothy Renick. Texas Artist. [Place of publication not identified] : [publisher not identified], circa 1900s. Eighteenmo. 15 pages, with one unnumbered plate entitled "Surrender of Santa Anna." Paper wraps with black lettering to front. With multiple ink stains to the cover and at the bottom edges of internal pages. Light toning. A small amount of paper loss at the bottom front cover.

Bernhardt Wall Typed Letter Signed "yours truly, Bernhardt." One page, 8" x 7.25", Houston; May 6, [no year]. Addressed to Col. Wakefield, written on an etching reading "Following General Sam Houston, Following Stephen F. Austin." Notifying Wakefield of his travel plans, it reads in full: "We shall leave here either on the 13th or 14th of May, our first stop Austin. Abiding place TEXAS HOTEL, Congress Ave. I believe that is the name of the hotel we stopt at last Spring. A black from Mansbendel's studio. As we will be there the afternoon, and a bit in the morning of the following day, our time is limited. We will want to see you." Letter has flattened folds with light toning and soiling.

Elisabet Nay Autograph Letter Signed "Elisabet Nay." Three pages of a bifolium, 5.5" x 8.5", no place; January 1, 1907. Addressed to an unknown recipient, with details of her travel to Liendo. In part: "...Soon did I arrive here and not having arrived the day before, fear had reigned & bad foreboding I might at last be ill...But convincement came with a great rejoicement. Miss Cenis was very glad to find I had to be provided with a Cunchea at so late an hour...having had as a resource since early morning only a pecan candy. That then came the climax of interesting happiness when she was told that the two [illegible] were at her disposal and for her to open...I have taken an excursion ticket which permits my presence until Jan 7th here. It will give me needed rest, as I feel worn out by the exertion of the shopping for trifles, but all for this beloved house..." With flattened folds, with small separations starting at folds. Lightly toned. Clear signature. All proceeds to benefit educational programs at The Bryan Museum.
