Description
Rare Winchester-Lee U.S. Navy Straight-Pull Military Bolt Action Musket. Serial no. 5710, 6mm U.S. Navy caliber, 28-inch barrel with standard military sights. Blued finish. Varnished walnut pistol-grip stock and armguard. Sling mounts. 54 of this model were recovered from the wreck of the U.S.S. Maine during the Spanish American War. This low-serial number musket pre-dates those of the Maine inventory.Condition: Very good. Retaining approximately 80-85% finish with scattered wear, minor rust deposits and light pitting. Wood is very good with minor nicks and blemishes. Action good.
