Description

Che Guevara Document Signed, "Che." One page, 14" x 10.75", El Banco Nacional de Cuba, Havana, January 22, 1960. This provisional certificate for a $400,000.00 bank bond is signed by Che Guevara in the lower right corner. Guevara was a Marxist guerrilla insurgent who aided Castro's Cuban revolution and rallied other Third World countries to overthrow their corrupt regimes. Captured during a 1967 guerrilla campaign in Bolivia, he was summarily executed the following day, and instantly transformed into a martyr and inspiration for other reactionaries. The photograph of him taken by Alberto Korda has been widely circulated and infused into pop art and culture; so much so, that it has been called the most famous photograph in the world and an icon of the 20th century.

The document is in extra fine condition; pristine. Accompanied by LOA from PSA/DNA.
