Description

Woodrow Wilson Signed Photo. A 9.75" x 13.25" B&W Pach Bros. matte finish photograph signed "Woodrow Wilson." Woodrow Wilson (1856-1924) was elected President on November 5, 1912, beating out incumbent Republican President William H. Taft and former President and Progressive Party candidate Theodore Roosevelt. Wilson, whose only previous elected office had been Governor of New Jersey, served until March 3, 1921. The first president to hold a doctoral degree, he was the second president to win the Nobel Peace Prize (the first had been awarded to Theodore Roosevelt). There are a few very light creases on the right border of this vintage studio photo, visible only upon close inspection and mentioned only for accuracy. The photograph presents one of the most impressive of all images known of President Wilson. Elaborately matted with fillets and framed to an overall size of 18.75" x 30". Accompanied by LOA from PSA/DNA.
