Description
Three Vintage Silk Ribbons in the Stevengraph Style, one of which commemorates the Columbian Exposition in 1893. It is cleanly separated into two parts and is in bright, colorful and otherwise excellent condition. Another one honors Admiral Dewey upon his triumphant return to America, in 1899, from the Spanish-American war. It was manufactured by Haledon Silk Mills in New York and pictures Dewey along with his ship, the USS Olympia. A few minor spots do little to detract from this handsome ribbon. The last item in this lot is a ribbon celebrating Charles Lindbergh's historic non-stop transatlantic flight in 1927, picturing his plane, the Spirit of St Louis. It is in bright and clean condition. These ribbons display very nicely and would make fine additions to any collection.Auction Info
