Description

Buzz Aldrin's Zero Gravity "Vomit Comet" Flight Suit, Signed by Him. Size medium, measures 64" from collar to cuff, dark blue polyester / cotton blend. Signed "Buzz Aldrin" on the Diet Rite patch sewn into the back. A smaller Diet Rite patch and a Zero-G patch are sewn into the front. Diet Rite, owned by Royal Crown Company, was the launch sponsor for Zero-G Corporation, a Las Vegas-based entertainment company that sends tourists into low and zero gravity environments through parabolic flight maneuvers, the kind of flight patterns that allowed the cast and crew of the film Apollo 13 to achieve weightlessness for brief periods. Zero-G's aircraft, G-Force One, is a Boeing 727-200 specially equipped to achieve Martian, Lunar, and zero gravity levels for brief periods of time. This flight suit was worn by Buzz Aldrin on one of Zero-G's first "vomit comet" flights in 2004. The suit is in excellent condition. A unique piece of Aldrin memorabilia worn by him as he once again floated weightless aboard an aircraft. From the personal collection of Dr. Buzz Aldrin and accompanied by a signed Letter of Authenticity from him.
