"Old First Virginia Infantry 1861-65" Ornate Document. This document was designed to be framed showing the Virginia state seal, battles engaged in (22) and certifying that William H. Stewart is a member of the old First Virginia Infantry and served honorably as a private in Co. D from the 21st day of April 1861 to the 26th day of August, 1862. Signed "Wm. H. Palmer" and "Charles T. Loehr" beside a color imprint of the C.S. battle flag. Several repairs with archival tape and minor stains, but overall a very impressive, colorful presentation.Auction Info
