Wally Schirra Project Mercury Vintage Associated Press Wire Photo, PSA Authenticated and Encapsulated. An original 6.5" x 8.5" black-and-white Associated Press wire photo showing astronaut Walter M. "Wally" Schirra, Jr. in his Mercury pressure suit, standing confidently with hands on hips, an umbilical line attached, and a scale model of the Mercury-Atlas rocket and capsule posed alongside. PSA has authenticated it as a "Type III Authentic 1962" wire photo and encapsulated in a 13.25" x 9.75" acrylic slab. Very fine.Auction Info
