Gene Cernan Signed Large Apollo 17 Lunar Surface Color Photo,
with Extensive Added Comments. A 20" x 16" silk finish photo on
Kodak Endura paper of the U.S. flag and its shadow on the barren
lunar surface. It is boldly signed in black felt tip with a
paraphrasing of the last words he (or anyone else) ever spoke while
standing on the lunar surface: "I'd like to just say what I
believe history will record - That America's challenge of today has
forged man's destiny of tomorrow. And, 'as we leave the Moon at
Taurus-Littrow/ we leave as we came and, God willing, as we shall
return, with peace and hope for all mankind./ God Speed the Crew of
Apollo XVII/ Gene Cernan/ Apollo XVII". A fabulous display
piece. Excellent.
