NASA and U.S. Air Force Space Program: Group of Eight Embroidered Patches Directly from the Estate of Albert Crews. An attractive and historically varied grouping of vintage embroidered space program patches spanning the early Air Force manned space initiatives through the Apollo era and NASA operational divisions. Ranging in size from 4.5" x 5", these embroidered insignia represent a cross-section of American space history, from canceled but influential Air Force manned space programs (Dyna-Soar and MOL), to the triumphant Apollo 11 lunar landing, and into NASA operational and crew support divisions. The patches come from the estate of Albert Crews who was involved in both the Dyna-Soar and the MOL project. Overall fine.Auction Info
