Rare John Glenn, Scott Carpenter, Alan Shepard, and Deke Slayton Signed Silver Spacesuit Photo. An 8" x 10" silk finish color photo featuring unique inscriptions from four members of the Mercury 7. Signed in black ballpoint on left: "2-20-62/ GTI/ Best regards-/ John H Glenn Jr./ Mercury Astronaut". Along right side in same ballpoint is: "Ditto from his back-up/ M. Scott Carpenter/ Mercury Astronaut", "Technical advisor-/ Alan B. Shepard", "Donald K Slayton". The GTI in Glenn's inscription references to the Grand Turks Island where he was recovered. A very desirable and scarce item. Light soiling as well as tape residue on verso. Fine.Auction Info
