Rex Stout. The Rubber Band. New York: Farrar & Rinehart, [1936]. First edition. Octavo. [4], 302, 5 [excerpt from The League of Frightened Men], [1, blank] pages. Publisher's bluish green cloth, spine and front lettered in black; top edge trimmed and stained yellow; original dust jacket. Spine skewed; trace of wear at spine ends; foot of spine pushed; light wear along joints; minor discoloration to backstrip and front board; small gouge at rear. Age discoloration to endpapers. Text block a bit dulled. Some chipping, short tears, and creasing to edges of jacket; front flap detached along flap fold; splits starting at each end of rear panel and flap fold. Good.Auction Info
