Rex Stout. The Rubber Band. New York: Farrar & Rinehart, [1936]. First edition. Octavo. [4], 302, 5 [excerpt from The League of Frightened Men], [1, blank] pages. Publisher's bluish green cloth, spine and front lettered in black; top edge trimmed and stained yellow; original dust jacket. Foot of spine crimped; spine ends showing a bit of discoloration; minor shelf wear. Mild discoloration and smudging at endpapers. Text block dulled. Chipping and nicking at spine and flap fold ends and along bottom edges of front and rear panels; spine panel a bit sunned; rubbing to exposed panels and at verso. Very good.Auction Info
