Illustrated inserted title-page (included in pagination) and fourteen inserted plates (some in color), all by Will James. Publisher's black cloth, spine lettered in gilt, pictorial paper label affixed to front; text block edges trimmed, top edge stained red; pictorial endpapers; original illustrated dust jacket. Moderate amount of pale soiling to cloth; foot of spine slightly crimped. Very faint discoloration to endpapers, visible in specks of what looks like foxing. Topstain faded; text block yellowed with age, with foxing along edges and at page margins throughout. Jacket rubbed and mildly soiled; spine panel dulled; nicking at spine and flap fold ends; short tear at upper edge of rear panel near flap fold; front flap clipped. Very good.[Together with:] The Drifting Cowboy. Illustrated by the Author. New York: Charles Scribner's Sons, 1925. First edition. Quarto. xii, 241, [3, blank] pages. Black-and-white full-page and in-text illustrations by Will James throughout. Publisher's one-quarter brown cloth over buff paper-covered boards, spine lettered in greenish-brown, front lettered in dark brown with vignette of a cowboy; text block edges trimmed; original illustrated dust jacket on brown paper. Minor shelf wear at extremities of binding; corners tapped. Endpapers discolored from exposure to each other; previous owner gift inscription and bookseller's ticket at front free endpaper. Text block edges softly dulled with age; top edge of text block dust-soiled. Jacket rubbed, particularly at spine panel and folds, with some mild soiling; tiny amount of nicking at spine and flap fold ends; top edges of flaps rumpled. Very good.

Black-and-white in-text and full-page illustrations by Will James throughout. Publisher's greenish-gray cloth, spine and front lettered in black, vignette at front in reddish-brown; text block edges trimmed; original illustrated dust jacket on gray paper. Light shelf wear to binding; spine ends rolled; corners just barely tapped. Endpapers and text block dulled with age. Exposed panels of jacket tanned, particularly spine panel; general wear and mild soiling; minor chipping at spine and flap fold ends; small hole toward middle of rear panel fold; folds creased; creasing to upper corner of rear flap. Very good.
