Jules Verne. Journey to the Center of the Earth. New York: Scribner, Armstrong & Co., n.d. [1874]. Second American printing, popular edition. Octavo. 185 x 125 mm. [4], 305, [1, blank], [10, ads] pages. Complete with all 20 illustrations. Original pictorial paper wrappers; worn, chipping with some loss along edges, toned, scattered staining, soiled, dampstaining along spine and fore-edge of rear wrapper. Text block edges toned, soiled, dampstaining along top edge, off-setting to reverse of front wrapper and frontis, bookseller notation to same. Intermittent staining and thumbing throughout, mainly to margins; creasing to lower outer corners. Good.References: Myers, p. 49-50. From the Gary Munson Collection
