Contemporary full speckled calf, bordered by gilt floral roll, gilt edge roll, spine elaborately tooled in gilt with plain lettering pieces titled in blind, with marbled endpapers, pastedowns bordered by sun roll in blind. Moderate edgewear, corners bumped and rubbed, boards lightly scuffed, scattered staining, front board and first two leaves detached, lower joint split, rubbing to spine, some loss to leather at head and tail. Text block edges marbled, top edge soiled, hinges repaired and reinforced, slight off-setting from turn-ins, bookseller notations to front free endleaf verso and front binder's blank recto. Foxed throughout, intermittent thumbing, a few small fore-edge tears, minor loss to fore-edge of page 165/166. Fair. From the Gary Munson Collection
