First edition. Limited edition of 355 copies, of which this is 167. Two volumes. Quarto. 263; 431 pages. Publisher's red cloth with gilt-stamped spine. Corners just bumped, minor edgewear, head and foot of spine pushed and somewhat worn, spine sunned, some soiling. Endpapers foxed. Internally generally clean; light dampstaining to some gutters, minor foxing, edges untrimmed with some wear and soiling. Very good.Howes S449. From the A. D.
