Two volumes, including separate atlas. Octavo. 487 pages. With all 57 plates and three folding maps (2 in a separate publisher's portfolio). Publisher's original embossed brown/plum cloth lettered in gilt on the spine.

Condition: Spines sunned; bindings faded, especially near edges, with wear including small chips and bumped edges. Pencil annotations on front pastedown, signed by previous owner in ink on title page. Occasional foxing or soiling to text block; over-opened at pp. 158-159; minor offset toning from inserted plates. Atlas maps lightly toned and creased at folds, with several separations thereat; some light, scattered soiling.
