[American Revolution]. Group of Four Revolutionary War-Era Financial and Legal Documents. Including on Connecticut Soldiers bond, two pay orders, and a court summons.

State of Connecticut Soldier's Bond Signed ("Ichabod Hinckley" and "Jonathan Parker"). One partially printed page, 12" x 7.5", Connecticut; February 13, 1777. A bond signed by Ichabod Hinckley of Tolland and Jonathan Parker of Wilmington, documenting payment made to them for the purpose of raising "...a company in the Continental Battalion, to be commanded by Charles Webb Esq Colonel..." and charging Hinckley specifically to "...faithfully apply and dispose of all Money he shall receive out of said Treasury..." at the risk of being personally responsible for the funds. Signed by Ichabod Hinckley and Jonathan Parker, each with partial wax seals remaining. Countersigned by T[homas] Seymour and Oliver Hanchet[t]. Docketed.

Josiah Lacey Pay Order Signed ("Josiah Lacy"). One partially printed page, 6" x 7.5", Hartford [Connecticut]; March 12, 1777. Pay order issued in the State of Connecticut for a sum to be used to "...pay out (as the additional Encouragement of Ten Pounds granted by this state) for inslisting his own Company..." Signed by Ez[ekiel] Williams, member of the Committee Pay Table, and countersigned in type by John Lawrence, Treasurer. Docketed and signed on the verso acknowledging receipt of payment by Josiah Lacey.

James Johnston Autograph Document Signed ("James Johnston"). One page 8.5" x 8", Tryon County [North Carolina]; July 13, 1778. An autograph document ordering Jacob Seite and two of his colleagues to pay a significant amount or appear before the next meeting of the Superior Court of the District of Salisbury. Docketed and signed by Seite on the verso.

Pay Order Issued on behalf of Allen Lane of the State of Connecticut. One page, 6" x 7.75", Hartford [Connecticut]; February 13, 1780. A manuscript document addressed to "John Lawrence Esq Treasurer" requesting payment for Allen Lane. Counter signed by James Church and John Chinward, members of the Committee Pay Table, and signed lightly across their signatures by "Sam. Wyllys auditor". Docketed. Signed on the verso by one Caleb Cook.

Condition: Rough edges; some edges with minor chipping. Light scattered soiling and foxing. Creased along old folds. A few documents with minor paper loss or thinning along folds.
