The first we've encountered from a Louisiana cavalryman.
Mexican War Veteran's Medal Inscribed to "Alfred H. Byrd/ La. Cav." Medal only, no ribbon, the suspensory bar on the back with an old solder repair, else perfect untouched condition. Byrd also had Civil War service with the 1st Regiment Louisiana Regular Infantry. A very rare medal.Auction Info
