Description
Elastolin Three-Piece German Trench Play Set With Three Cannon, Machine Gun, Two Motorcycles, and Thirteen Composition Soldier Figures. Three smaller sections of trench line constructed of wood and textured cardboard. One section represents a gun emplacement, another small section has a dugout, and the last section has a dugout and a bit of trench. Each has been painted to represent mud, foliage and rocks, and one section has a barbed wire entanglement in the foreground. The sections of trench have been retrofitted with an assortment of composition soldiers representing several makers. There are a number of prone figures, two standing rangefinder figures, a machine gunner, Elastolin trench mortar figure, and several others. Three cannon are included in the set, one a camouflaged Hausser example; the other camouflaged but not maker marked; and a third smaller camouflaged example. A small metal camouflaged MG-08 Maxim, and two motorcycles with riders (they may be British) are included. All figures are in good to very good condition exhibiting some fading, chipping, small cracks and general moderate playwear.Auction Info
